The history of South Africa is mostly a story of migration. This does not mean South Africa should continue embracing migration, however, because of the modern-day problem of overpopulation. A lot of diverse people's around the world have sought to make South Africa their home. The first human inhabitants of South Africa were likely to not even have been the KhoiSan. The first hominid inhabitants of South Africa were here 5 million years before present day, followed by stone tool users 1,8 million years ago. It is only after that that hunter-gatherer tribes like the San came 25000 to 8000 years ago followed by the Khoi/Khoi Khoi.  Nguni tribes were first so-called Bantu language speakers to arrive in present day South Africa in what is said to be 200 AD by either archaeologists or carbon dating technology. The Zulu shield (Zulu: ihawu ) is a common shield design on the east coast of Africa. This shield design is found on the Kenyan flag, Zulu flag, Kenyan coat of arms, Zulu coat of arms, Swazi flag, Swazi coat of arms, Ciskei coat of arms, & is similar to the one used by Ndebele, Ngoni & Shubi tribes.  It is said that the shield used to be smaller in size than it's modern version. It was increased in size by King Shaka , the legendary Zulu king in the early 19th century.    This shield is made of hardened cow hide & is a better design than the Roman shield in that it is lighter allowing a warrior to travel further & is easier to move in combat allowing swiftness in defence during combat. The shield could've also been used by warriors to protect themselves against the elements. Spain is a nation state, i.e. a state associated with a particular cultural entity (a nation) & a sovereign territorial unit, that lies on the Iberian Peninsula of Europe. Anyone who knows me would say I admire Spain because of their footballing pedigree & they're right but that is not the only reason. Although I have never been in person to Spain - media, the internet & social media has made it possible for me to see what the Spanish are like. I really do believe that Spain is indeed one of the closest country's to perfect any modern land can hope to be. Why?  • Spain still has managed to maintain their ancient cultures alive in the modern age including having a monarch of the land.
